Bottle 1: GlenAllechie 24 year old “Faultline” bears a label featuring a lit candle. This is a rarely seen single malt bottling from a distillery in Speyside, Scotland. It is often used as the heart of the Chivas Regal line of blended scotch whiskies, but is spectacular as a single malt. Bold and aromatic, it has notes of dark fudge and red fruit jam. Value: $150

Bottle 2: Compass Box 10th Anniversary edition “Flaming Heart," bottled in 2010, is a unique blended whisky made of spirits from several of the most famous coastal distilleries in Scotland. It is powerful and smokey, with hints of honey, vanilla, raisins and clove. Value: $282

Bottle 3: “Sun Shine” 20 year old single malt from distiller Wakatsuru Shuzou in Toyama, on the coast of the Sea of Japan. This malt has a beautiful amber color, and a subtle flavor of pears and brine. Value: $999
