In this delightful painting, this artist takes a bird's eye view, looking down on Union Square with its greenery and flowers. There is lots of activity, as pigeons swirl around the column, and people walk about, feed the pigeons, and sit on the benches. A trolley car passes by on the far side of the square. The exaggerated angles create a strong and dynamic composition. The limited palette of red, yellow, blue and green is vibrant, harmonious and very pleasing.

No information is available about the artist, Albina Marie Meredith.

The 14"x21"painting is matted and framed, and framed dimensions are 18"x24". The frame is brushed silver metal.

This painting was a favorite of the donor's cousin who lived in the City. Ideal for an office or contemporary living room.
