2013 Drinkward Peschon "Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"This is fabulous wine and the best yet from the two women that make up Drinkward Peschon – Françoise Peschon and Lisa Drinkward. I would consider 2013 as one of the most perfect vintages they have dealt with and both of them have considerable experience. Françoise worked at Araujo for many years, and Lisa is the wife of Les Behrens with experience of many vintages at Behrens & Hitchcock. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Mères (741 cases) is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. An absolutely spectacular bouquet of licorice, forest floor, allspice, blackcurrant and blackberry, a touch of chocolate and subtle oak is followed by a full-bodied wine that is layered, rich and intense. It has incredible equilibrium, superb purity and a finish of close to 45+ seconds. All of this fruit emerges from the Blossom Creek Vineyard north of Calistoga, which sits on the west side in what is considered a relatively cool niche in a warm area. This fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon has at least 30 years of upside aging potential. (RP)" (10/2016)

2009 Behrens Family "Cemetery" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

" The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery is a viscerally thrilling, exciting wine loaded with dark jammy fruit, violets, jasmine and licorice. It possesses fabulous inner perfume and striking balance. Hints of espresso and mocha wrap around the finish. Opulent, intense and impeccably polished pretty much sums it up. Cemetery is a first class effort. (AG) " (12/2011)
