2012 Rhys Family Farm Pinot Noir

2012 Rhys "Family Farm Vineyard" San Mateo County Pinot Noir

93 points John Gilman

“The 2012 Family Farm Vineyard bottling of Pinot from Rhys is another outstanding example of the vintage, delivering an excellent and exotically spiced bouquet of dark berries, black currants, woodsmoke, fresh thyme, mustard seed, dried eucalyptus, beef stock, dark soil tones and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still very primary, with moderate tannins, lovely focus and grip, tangy acids and a long, classy and light on its feet finish. Beautiful juice. Drink between 2018-2040. “ (7/2014)

2016 Rhys "Family Farm Vineyard" San Mateo County Pinot Noir

94 points Jeb Dunnuck

“Moving south toward the Santa Cruz Mountains, the 2016 Pinot Noir Family Farm Vineyard offers a more elegant, medium-bodied, supple style as well as perfumed red fruit, dried flowers, and spice, with just a hint of minerality. This site has slightly more clay in the soils and the wine is always one of the more rounded and charming in the lineup. Nevertheless, I’ve no doubt it’s going to drink nicely for a decade. “ (2/2019)

2009 Antica Terra "Botanica" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

“The 2009 Botanica surrenders greater aromatic complexity, is richer and more extracted than the Antica Terra cuvee and has outstanding volume and length. This nicely proportioned Pinot Noir will benefit from 1-2 years of additional cellaring, an unusual characteristic for most 2009s. In just a few years, Maggie Harrison has managed to place Antica Terra on my short list of Willamette Valley’s finest producers. The estate owns 11 acres of vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and leases an 8 acre parcel from Shea Vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton. (JM) “
