Availability:

Pick either The Farm Tour OR The Sustainability Tour! A gorgeous day for you and up to 9 of your friends and family.

  1. The Farm Tour is extremely hands on and informative. Tours offer a wealth of information about the goats & other animals on the farm, the environment, water conservation, and dairy practices. Tour is 75-90 minutes long and details the history of our farm, our 100+ year old barns, our owner, our animals, and our milking and cheese making processes. Your group will have a chance to wander right into the pastures for some "up close and personal" time with the goats. Our working goat ladies are milked at 6am & while you are welcome to come observe the process, it is something strictly left to the skill of our herd managers. At the conclusion of the tour, your group will be taken upstairs into our beautiful hayloft to sample our most famous cheeses. Ages 10 and up.
  2. The Sustainability Tour is an extended tour of the Farm. The dairy farm is the heart of our business, yet we are not simply dairy farmers. We collect all the water used in the dairy, so that the edible flower garden can be watered, and the cheesemakers can pick fresh petals to finish the edible flower chevre. We grow olallieberries in fields spread with composted goat manure, and make jam and jelly with the berries to sell in the farm shop. We bought the adjoining property with its barn and well and embarked on a nine-year project to build an irrigation pond that will keep our pasture green, protecting the creekside habitat. All of this protects the health and welfare of our staff and our animals and our dairy business. It makes us sustainable. This is a very personal and in-depth perspective on running a small farm. Includes our Water District, weather station, arable fields, Secret Garden, bees and orchard, Upper Barn, and - of course - the goats. Adults only.
