Italian Wine Duo- Salute!
Italian favorites - Amarone Classico Coret Lenguin 2015 and La Massa Tuscan Chianti 2016.
The reviews speak for themselves:
2015 Corte Lenguin Amarone Della Valpolicella: A simple but beautiful wine. This is why Amarone is such a favorite. Rich sweet cherry over leather and tobacco nose. Thick. Almost perfect balance with underlying velvet glove structure. Hints of licorice and blackberry. Fine cigar, suede and cocoa finish. A steal at the price. The label isn't perfect here but the wine is!
La Massa 2016: Full body, layered and ripe with lots of intense fruit and a long finish. Shows energy and focus. Drink in 2020. From the beautiful rolling hills of Panzano in Chianti, the 2015 La Massa shows a ripe and soft side of the vintage with warm notes of black cherry and blackberry. Amazing quality for the price.
