2013 Linne Calodo "Rising Tides" Paso Robles Rhône Blend

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

“The top wine in 2013 is the 2013 LC Red Rising Tides Proprietary Red. Made from 40% Syrah, 32% Grenache, 18% Mourvedre and a splash of Cinsault, it offers a gorgeously sweet nose of black fruits, bouquet garni, pepper and plenty of background meatiness. Full-bodied, layered, pure and simply seamless, with a hard to resist profile, enjoy this sexy Paso Robles blend anytime over the coming 7-8 years. (JD) “ (8/2015)

2012 Villa Creek "Avenger" Paso Robles Rhône Blend

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

“Sporting a deep ruby/purple color, the 2012 Avenger is a thrilling blend of 60% Syrah, 30% Mourvedre and 10% Grenache that has everything you could want from a Central Coast Rhone blend. Perfumed and complex on the nose, with vibrant black and blue fruits, violets, lavender, licorice and subtle vanilla bean, it flows onto the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, notable freshness and building tannin that comes through on the finish. Showing the supple, up-front nature of the vintage, yet with ample tannin, it should be better in another year, and shine over the following 4-5. Winemaker Cris Cherry continues to push the whole cluster and savory style in his wines, while not losing the core of fruit that the region is known for. These new releases all have rich, tannic profiles that benefit from air, and will be even better in another year or two.”

2014 Booker "Estate" Paso Robles Red Blend

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

“Tasted out of bottle and a blend of 51% Tempranillo, 28% Syrah, 13% Petit Verdot and 8% Grenache, the 2014 Booker Estate is about as silky and seamless as they get. Sporting a vibrant purple/ruby color and vibrant notes of creme de cassis, jammy blackberries, melted licorice, spice and toasty oak, this full-bodied red glides across the palate with no weight, beautiful purity and shows building, chalky tannin on the palate. Drink this impeccably made Paso Robles beauty anytime over the coming 7-8 years. (JD)” (7/2016)
