Savor two bottles of barrel-aged silky rum from two of the world's exceptional producers, Plantation, Barbados & Appleton Estate, Jaimaica.
The first written reference to the existence of rum comes from the island of Barbados in 1647. The PLANTATION RUM XO, 20th Anniversary edition, is first aged in bourbon casks in Barbados and then sailed across the ocean in barrels to the southwest of France to be further matured in small Ferrand French oak casks. This centuries-old “double ageing “ process imparts incredible smoothness and complexity. It unveils a sophisticated palate of chocolate, vanilla, ripe banana, roasted coconut, and a hint of fresh mango notes. With a remarkably long finish, Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is truly a rum to savor.
Appleton Estate is the oldest and most famous of all of Jamaica's sugar-cane estates. It makes rich rums with characteristic Christmas cake and butterscotch flavours and is known for its long-aged editions. With this 12 Year Rare Casks bottling, you’ll find deep oak, fruity, and cocoa notes, followed by delicate molasses, vibrant orange peel, rich vanilla, subtle coffee, with a hint of toasted oak and almond. Aged in number One select American oak barrels.
